Princess Grace Award:
Animation Undergraduate Film Scholarship, 2008
Additional Grants:
• 2012 Professional Development Grant
Caitlin is an animator, multidisciplinary artiste and sometime-educator living in Los Angeles. She has directed animation for music videos and non-fiction film, including a recent commission about the sense of Touch for Harvardx’s Poetry of Perception series. Her most recent film Tomato is a visually punny motion-picture exploring the history and etymology of the beloved fruit. Her work has screened at festivals worldwide, been featured by the Atlantic and been called among other things ‘bona fide weird.’ As an undergraduate at the University of Southern California she was a Princess Grace recipient. She is currently an MFA candidate at the California Institute of the Arts where she coordinates an experimental animation visiting artist series and seriously dabbles in writing, performance, feminism and funny stuff.
