Denise Quiñones, a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, was Miss Universe 2001. She has since devoted her energies to acting, completing the School for Film and Television’s two-year Conservatory Program. Her T.V. credits include Tom Fontana’ Bedford Diaries, CBS’s Love Monkey and WB’s Smallville.

Since her theatrical début at Repertorio Español in 2004 when she starred as Marela in the Spanish-language version of Nilo Cruz's Anna in the Tropics, she has graced the stage in a series of leading roles. She has played the withering Rosita in Federico Lorca’s Doña Rosita the Spinster, an innocent, yet sensual Flor in Doña Flor and her Two Husbands and a political prisoner in The House of the Spirits.

Denise currently lives in New York where she continues to pursue her acting dreams.
