James Cameron to receive Prince Rainier III Award & Announcing Stephen Hillenburg Animation Award!
We are so thankful to Stephen Hillenburg who has endowed a special scholarship this year for talented artists working in animation. The Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship will be awarded annually to emerging animators in the film category. You can find out more about Stephen’s award here.
In addition, the iconic filmmaker James Cameron will be this year’s recipient for the Prince Rainier III Award. This prestigious award recognizes renowned leaders in the arts who share the passion of Princess Grace in supporting emerging talent. “It is my distinct privilege to present the Prince Rainier III Award to James Cameron," Prince Albert II. "He is one of Hollywood’s most iconic filmmakers and dedicated philanthropists. His revolutionary work has transformed the film industry, and at the same time he has helped explore the deepest parts of the oceans to help advance science and protect our most vital resources. There is no one more fitting to receive this accolade.”
