Eight Princess Grace Award Winners Hit Broadway in 2019!

It’s another exciting Broadway season for Princess Grace Award winners. Three Award winning theater directors are preparing to launch their latest productions in 2019 -- while another five Award winners currently have shows on Broadway.

On April 4, Tony Award winning director Sam Gold (2004 Theater, 2018 Statue Award) will officially open William Shakespeare’s ‘King Lear’, starring Oscar winning actress, Glenda Jackson in the title role. Arin Arbus (2008 Theater) will make her debut on Broadway with Terrence McNally’s “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune” opening May 4. And critically acclaimed novel and film, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ will make its way to the stage later this year with Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro (1996 Theater, 2010 Statue Award) at its helm. Sir Elton John will compose the score and Paul Rudnick will write the Broadway musical adaptation.
