SPONGEBOB TAKES NEW YORK
On November 18, 2004, New Yorkers eagerly welcomed the arrival of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie with a preview screening at the Loews Cineplex & IMAX Theater in Manhattan. Together with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA hosted a full evening of family fun which included a complete "Under the Sea" experience. In addition to the movie, guests dined on kid-friendly snacks and enjoyed activities like a King Neptune's ring toss, photo-ops with SpongeBob, and face-painting. Guests also had a rare opportunity to meet SpongeBob creator and two-time Princess Grace Award winner, Stephen Hillenburg, and several of the voices of the animated characters, Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick) and Tom Kenny (SpongeBob). Other notables who attended along with their family included actor Stephen Baldwin, NY Giant Tiki Barber, Cathy Moriarty, Halle Eisenberg, and Joe Piscopo.
