MARTHA GRAHAM EVENT

On April 20, 2004, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, in collaboration with Temple St. Clair Fine Jewellery, hosted a special evening with the Martha Graham Dance Company. The evening's program included a benefit performance at City Center, followed by a cocktail reception for invited guests at Osterio del Circo. Attendees had the opportunity to see the Company perform "The Owl and the Pussycat" (narrated by Vogue's André Leon Talley) and other Martha Graham classics, "Cave of the Heart" and "Sketches from Chronicle". Temple St. Clair joined the Foundation in saluting Martha Graham Dance Company Co-Artistic Director and Principal Dancer, Terese Capucilli, and company member Jennifer DePalo - both Princess Grace Award winners - for their contributions to dance. To show their support, many of the Foundation's Trustees traveled to New York City to attend the event. In addition to designer Temple St. Clair and her husband Paul Engler, other attendees included the Foundation's Chairman, Hon. John F. Lehman, and fellow Trustees Sandra van Essche and Lynn Wyatt, who was accompanied by cabaret king Bobby Short. A special invitation was extended to the evening's guests to view Temple St. Clair's collection at Bergdorf Goodman later that week.
