Tanya Orellana is a set designer and puppet artist based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. As a core member of the SF based theatre company Campo Santo, she has conceptualized and designed sets alongside the writing process, as part of their intimate new works approach. She has collaborated with directors Jonathan Moscone, Michael John Garcés, Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Richard Montoya from Culture Clash, and theatre companies Golden Thread Productions, Laney College, University of San Francisco, SF International Arts Festival, The Embodiment Project, and The Living Word Project. This summer she will premiere Nogales: Storytellers in Cartel Country written by Richard Montoya at Borderlands theatre in Tucson, Arizona and The Magic in San Francisco. Tanya is currently in her final year of the MFA program at California Institute of the Arts.
