Sara Bruner
Princess Grace Award:
Theater Fellowship, 2018, Gant Gaither Theater Award
Sara Bruner has dedicated her career to regional repertory theater. For many years she served as an actor, director and Artistic Associate for Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Great Lakes Theater. She’s also been an acting company member, and now director, at Oregon Shakespeare Festival with the upcoming, 2019 production: ALICE IN WONDERLAND, and will proudly return to ISF/GLT this winter to direct TAMING OF THE SHREW. Sara is an ardent believer in company, and the responsibility to serving their respective communities. She has adapted and directed multiple productions for ISF’s educational program- it reaches rural communities in Idaho that have limited exposure to the arts, and specifically Shakespeare. “The theater should be an instrument for giving, not a machinery for getting”. - Eva LeGallienne
