Sam Lane is an animator and illustrator from Los Angeles, CA. She graduated Marlborough School in 2015 and is in her senior year studying experimental animation at the California Institute of the Arts. Her third-year film, Spell of the West, was accepted into the PIAFF festival in Paris as well as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where she was invited to speak on a panel about the future of female filmmakers. She is the co-founder of the annual animation and music mash up festival Kinetic, which will run for the second time in August 2018. Sam is set to graduate in the spring of 2019.
