Richard Wiebe is a filmmaker and Ph.D. candidate in Film Studies at the University of Iowa where he teaches nonfiction filmmaking, screenwriting, film theory, and film sound. His work has screened at several international venues such as IFF Rotterdam, La Alternativa, and 25 FPS, winning awards at the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Media City Film Festival, Milwaukee Underground and others. He is the co-founder and co-director of Works-in-Progress (WiP), a non-competitive festival that programs unfinished work by artists working in virtually every medium.
