Ramaj Jamar is an American artist and designer for film and theatre originally from Houston, TX. He is an alum of Texas Southern University and currently earning his MFA in Costume Design at NYU Tisch. Ramaj has designed the Texas premiere of Marcus; Or the Secret of Sweet, Between Two Worlds by Urban Souls Dance Co, the second produced production of The Escape; Or a Leap for Freedom (First African American Play), Zooman and The Sign and Pecong. This year he is set to design a production of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, The Death of The Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World and A Funny House of a Negro. Ramaj is a recipient of the Tom Joyner Foundation, KCACTF/Hilton Worldwide Award winner for Achievement in Costume Design & Best Supporting Actor.
