Michael produces, writes and directs original, multidisciplinary performances including As I Lay Dying, Red Badge of Courage, The Colour of Her Dreams, The Breakers, and the smash-hit interactive epic The Navigator. From 2002-‘12 Michael was artistic associate at the Center for Puppetry Arts, writing/directing puppet theatre for adults, teens, and the very young, and curating the Xperimental Puppetry Theater program. In 2011 Michael founded The Object Group, an ensemble devising interactive performance for museums and public spaces, including the High Museum and Georgia Aquarium. Michael now curates the Curious Encounters festival of interactive performance at 7 Stages Theatre, where he is Co-Artistic Director.Michael has received the TCG New Generations grant (2010), is a Princess Grace Foundation-USA fellow (2012), a MacDowell Colony fellow (2013), and a Yaddo fellow (2014).
