Michael Braun is currently in rehearsals for the inaugural year of The Bridge Project.  As part of a company of 9 British and 9 American actors, he will perform in Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale under the direction of Sam Mendes.  The project begins its run at BAM next year, and after engagements in Singapore, New Zealand, Germany, Madrid and Greece will end as part of The Old Vic’s 2009 season in London.  He most recently appeared in Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker at Baltimore Centerstage and Stephen Brown’s Future Me at The Public Theater as part of the Summer Play Festival.  At the Williamstown Theater Festival, Michael has played in The Front Page, On The Razzle, The Indian Wants the Bronx, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, The Liddy Plays, Bloody Mary, Never Swim Alone, and The Exception and the Rule.  He appeared in The Breach at Seattle Rep.  At the Yale Repertory Theater, Michael has performed in productions of Lulu and All's Well That Ends Well.  His New York Credits include Hamlet (DTNY), Woman Killer (World Premiere, HERE), The Education of Harry Lynch (Director's Company) and After You (John Houseman Studio).    Michael received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 2007, as well as the Herschel Williams Memorial prize for acting.  At Yale Drama his credits include the title role in Richard III, The Three Sisters, Hamlet, Balm in Gilead, Attempts On Her Life, and Mickey Mouse is Dead.
