Theater Apprenticeship, 2015, Faberge Theater Award

Joshua Kahan Brody is a director, performer, and educator. Among his favorite recent projects is Three Plays in a Tattoo Shop, an evening of new work exploring the permanence of tattoo art and the impermanence of live theater. The piece was staged by THE TRIP, the company Joshua co-founded, in a working tattoo parlor and an audience member was tattooed as part of each performance. Upcoming projects: Lauren Yee’s King of the Yees at the Goodman Theater’s New Stages and a new adaptation of Euripides’ Medea for the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Joshua won the 2011 Fringe NYC Award for Excellence in Directing. He is a dual US-UK citizen who makes work all around the country but makes his home in San Diego, California.
