Jennifer DePalo-Peterson

Jennifer DePalo-Peterson was a Principal Dancer for the Martha Graham Dance Company for 18 years. She also has reconstructed and set Martha's Masterworks for The University of South Carolina, Columbia and the process was created into an "E TV" documentary. She teaches master classes internationally and is thrilled to now be living in Colorado and teaching at the Colorado Ballet.  She has also danced as a principal for Ballet Hispanico (3 years) and Buglisi Dance Theater (10 years). She holds her BFA magna cum laude from The Boston Conservatory and is the owner of 212 Gyrotonic on the upper west side in NYC. She is a certified Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic instructor and Pretrainer and certified in all its specialized equipment.  Recently after her move to Colorado in July 2014, she became a member of 3rd Law Dance Theater and the Associate Artistic Director for BRIAH Danse.  Jennifer is also the founder and owner of a new gyrotonic studio in Boulder called Gyrotonic Bodhi and recently was recognized with great reviews from The Daily Camera. Jennifer is an honored recipient of the Princess Grace Award and the Coca-Cola Award for Artistic Excellence.  Jennifer's main goal in teaching is to empower the dancer to move with proper alignment, joy and passion using mindful awareness.
