Jared Mezzocchi

Jared Mezzocchi is a multimedia director and designer for theater, receiving his MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Design at Brooklyn College. Currently, he is a HARP Resident at HEREarts Center, NYC (You Are Dead. You Are Here., Trade Practices). He has created several works at Andy’s Playhouse in NH, winning Best Original Playwright at the NH Theater Awards (2011) for his adaptation of The Lost World. Other notable original works include Projectionist (Powerhouse Theater 2010), and Poppa, God Bless (Process Series UNC 2011). Recent design credits include: The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (Woolly Mammoth), Astro Boy (Studio Theater), Glass Menagerie (Arena Stage). Jared has ongoing design relationships in NYC with Caden Manson/Big Art Group, Baryshnikov Arts Center, 3-Legged Dog and New Georges. Jared is currently creating a new curriculum in Projection Design at University of Maryland’s Theater Department (College Park), previously teaching at NYU and the PIMA graduate program at Brooklyn College.
