Ben Neufeld is a film and video maker based in Los Angeles hailing from New York City. He attended Oberlin College and has been making movies for the past decade. He was recently granted the Allan Sekula Award for Social Documentary for his film, Tarshish, a documentary/fiction hybrid considering contemporary Israeli life and the history of Zionism, which is in post-production. His thesis film in pre-production, The Unimaginable, follows a filmmaker who gets lost in imagination with his father as they attempt to imagine his grandmother's romance at a labor camp during the holocaust. He is pursuing an MFA at California Institute of the Arts.
