Ballet Scholarship, 2008
Alexander Peters, 17, received his early dance training at Allegheny Ballet in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He attended the School of American Ballet’s Summer Courses in 2006 and 2007 on merit scholarships and was invited into the year-round program in fall 2007. He attended Pacific Northwest Ballet’s summer program in 2008 and was selected the same summer for an exchange program with the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen sponsored by the Danish-American Society. Mr. Peters performed soloist roles in Jerome Robbins’s 2 & 3 Part Inventions and Fanfare in the School of American Ballet’s 2008 Workshop Performances.
